EXECUTIVE & TEAM COACHING

Most senior leaders are highly capable.
Few of them are truly present.

The Open State is a trainable neurological and physiological condition that changes how leaders think, communicate and decide under pressure. This is the work I do.

THE OPEN STATE

Presence isn't soft.
It's a performance condition.

Senior leaders know what good leadership looks like. The gap isn't knowledge, it's access. Under pressure, the nervous system narrows, thinking becomes reactive, and communication becomes defensive. The Open State is the neurological condition that keeps leaders out of that spiral and it can be trained.

THE PROBLEM

  • High cognitive load narrows attention and shuts down clear thinking

  • Stress responses that were survival tools become leadership liabilities

  • Reactive patterns invisible to the leader, visible to everyone else

  • Communication that lands differently than intended

WHAT CHANGES

  • Sustained clarity under pressure, not just in calm moments

  • Communication that lands with boards, teams, and stakeholders

  • Decisions made from signal, not noise

  • Emotional intelligence that reads as authority, not sensitivity

  • Leadership presence that others naturally orient around

SERVICES

Structured work.
Lasting change.

All engagements are grounded in The Open State framework. Whether individual coaching, team programmes, or facilitated workshops, the aim is the same: durable change in how leaders think and lead, not temporary insight.

ABOUT CLINTON

I've led from the inside.
That's the difference.

Before coaching, I spent more than 15 years in senior leadership  including as an Executive Principal in high-pressure, complex contexts. I understand how leadership feels from the inside: the noise, the reactive patterns, the moments when your own nervous system becomes the obstacle.

My work sits at the intersection of neuroscience, presence-based practice and experiential facilitation. I hold an ICF accreditation, am a Level 3 LEGO® Serious Play® facilitator and a Nonviolent Communication practitioner. I also serve as an expert coach on the LETTA Level 5 Diploma in Coaching.

Outside of coaching, I'm an open water swimmer and I believe strongly in what cold water teaches about presence, breathing and recovery. It's not incidental to the work. It's part of it.
